Global Justice Milton Keynes has arranged a community screening of the film of Naomi Klein’s book This Changes Everything. There is no charge for attending but they would welcome donations towards the costs of hiring the venue and getting the DVD.
The film presents portraits of communities on the front lines of climate change, from the Alberta Tar Sands to the coast of South India. Interwoven with these stories is a message that we can seize the crisis of climate change to transform the economic system into something better.
This complements the thought-provoking talk given by George Marshall and arranged by Transition MK last month.
The film will be shown on Wednesday 20th January at 7.30pm in the Guildhall at Christ the Cornerstone, the large church at 300 Saxon Gate MK9 2ES, in Central Milton Keynes. Doors will open at 7.00pm. This venue is about 15 minutes walk from Milton Keynes Central Station. There are bus stops nearby. There is no charge for parking adjacent to the church in the evening.
