THE STORY OF STUFF free short film screenings, 13th September at 7.30pm

Four short films will be shown, starting with The Story of Stuff

Consumerism is a key driver of climate change. Over the past ten years the Story of Stuff project has released a series of short animated films focussed on consumerism that are community minded, solutions focussed, and action orientated.  At our September meeting we will watch and discuss four of these films: the Story of Stuff;  The Story of Change;  The Story of Solutions; and Cap and Trade.  Activities will ask you to consider the strengths and weaknesses of The Story of Stuff’s analysis and solutions and how the project’s arguments can best be introduced to those who show little interest or concern for the issues the films raise.

Find us from 7.30pm in Room G011 on the ground floor of the Gateway Building on Polhill Avenue, Bedford. MK41 9EA (NB not upstairs as previously). Gateway is the very first building on the right as you enter the campus. Go through the glass doors. Notices will guide you to the room venue.

Our films aim to provide a platform for discussion, networking and action. We allow time at the end of the film for sharing ideas together!

Our events are free but donations are welcome to cover our costs.
